Manduro’s daughter Apothecary makes a winning debut at Lingfield

Manduro sired his eighth winner on Wednesday December 14, when his daughter Apothecary made a successful debut at Lingfield Park. Held up in rear early in the seven-furlong contest, she cut through the pack off the home turn to win by a head.

Bred by Cliveden Stud and sold as a yearling for 60,000Gns, she is the first foal of the winning Kingmambo mare Sister Maria, herself a daughter of the G1 E.P. Taylor Stakes heroine Fraulein.

Manduro, the scintillating Horse of the Year and world Champion racehorse of 2007, has sired a number of very promising winners. Mandaean is unbeaten in two starts including impressing in the G1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud, Bonfire won well on his debut before finishing a luckless third in the G1 Criterium International, Kolonel, an unbeaten colt in Germany, is very well regarded by his trainer Andreas Wohler and heads the market for next seasons German Derby and Miss Manduro, is an unbeaten filly in Italy who won by 13 lengths on her debut.

Manduro will stand this coming season at Kildangan Stud in Ireland for €10,000, Oct 1st, SLF.
