Echo Of Light's juvenile son Electrician stamped himself a colt of huge potential on Wednesday September 14 when running away with a Yarmouth maiden over seven-furlongs. Making his second start after a promising debut second at Ascot, he was always close to the slow early gallop before quickening clear a couple of furlongs from home and staying on well to win unchallenged by three-and-three-quarter lengths.
Bred by Darley and racing in the colours of HRH Princess Haya of Jordan, he is the second foal of the Japanese-bred Sunday Silence mare Primrose Lane, herself a winner in Australia. A sister to Classic-filly Sundrop, Primrose Lane is from the family of multiple G1-winning Champion Northern Spur.
A paternal half-brother to star stallion Dubawi, Echo Of Light won five Group races in a 16-race career, including breaking the course record in the G3 Strensall Stakes at York. From the top family of Marju and Salsabil, he has now sired three winners including Sound Advice, a recent third in the Listed Stonehenge Stakes and Counterglow, an impressive debut winner at Brighton.
