Silius, a three-year-old son of Dubawi, impressed on Sunday, 23 February when running away with the Listed Prix de la Californie. Run over 1500m at Cagnes-sur-Mer, he tracked the early leader before asserting in the straight for a three-and-a-half length triumph.

The winner of five of his eight career starts, he holds a Classic entry in the Poule d’Essai de Poulains.
Owned and bred by Wertheimer et Frere, he is a son of the multiple G1 winner Silasol and a full brother to the Group-placed Silawi. Silasol also has a two-year-old colt by Night Of Thunder.
Dubawi, Britain’s greatest ever stallion, has now sired 293 individual Black Type winners, of which 190 have won at Group level and 60 in G1’s. He has already sired a new G1 winner in 2025 after Walk Of Stars landed the Al Maktoum Challenge at Meydan last month.
