Derby hero and first-crop sire Masar recorded a new winner on Tuesday, 15 August when Golden West struck at Newcastle. Making his debut in the one-mile contest, the Karl Burke-trained colt was always cruising and wasn’t hard pressed to record a two-and-a-quarter length victory.
Bred by Crimbourne Bloodstock, Golden West is a son of the winning Invincible Spirit mare Gwendolyn, who is a daughter of Stakes winner Golden Whip.
Masar’s first-crop have shown great promise in their early career including ParisLongchamp winner Will Scarlet, and Wonder, an excellent third on debut at Newmarket this past weekend.
Nice debut!
