Fast Company’s first southern hemisphere-bred crop have been making a great impression, with six Black type performers and two Group winners already on the board. On 25 June, previous G2 winner Robert Bruce added a first victory at the highest level when landing the G1 Clasico Alberto Vial Infante at Club Hipco in Chile, with another Fast Company colt, Caramboleado, finishing second.
Robert Bruce was settled in mid-division during the early stages of the one-mile contest and once asked to quicken approaching the two-furlong marker, soon picked up and easily drew clear to win by an astounding eight lengths.
The two-year-old is now unbeaten in three starts, having won on his debut on 8 May, before registering his first Black type win in the G2 Clasico Criadores Machos earlier this month.
Robert Bruce was bred by Haras Convento Viejo and is out of G1 winner Lady Pelusa (Orpen).
Fast Company is now sire of six individual Group winners, headed by G1 Irish 1,000 Guineas heroine Jet Setting and G2 winners Devonshire, Baitha Alga and El Notario. His daughter Penny Pepper became a new Group winner for her sire on 11 June, landing the G3 Ballyogan Stakes at the Curragh.
