Front running Arod never sees a rival at Ascot
Teofilo’s top-class four-year-old Arod continued his excellent form on Saturday June 11 when leading all the way for an authoritative victory in the G2 Summer Mile. Fourth in the Derby behind Australia as a three-year-old, he has been in excellent form this year with a close third in the G1 Lockinge Stakes preceding an easy victory in the G3 Diomed Stakes at Epsom.
Bred by Kabansk Ltd & Rathbarry Stud, Arod was bought by current connections as a yearling for €170,000 and is a son of the Rahy mare My Personal Space, who has already produced a further two Stakes performers in Galidon and Raggiante. My Personal Space also has a full sister yearling to Arod.
Arod is one of 24 Stakes performers that Teofilo has sired in 2015. Amongst this number are the Irish Classic heroine Pleascach, star Australian three-year-old Kermadec and Irish G3 winner Flight Risk.
