Dubawi four-year-old Fox Hunt gained his biggest success to date with a battling victory in the G3 Deutsches St Leger at Dortmund on Sunday.
Runner-up to Tactician in the Listed Silver Cup at York following his resounding victory in the Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes at Royal Ascot in June, Fox Hunt has now won five times. A trip overseas could well be on the cards for the end of the season, with both the Melbourne Cup and Bredeers’ Cup Marathon having been named as potential targets.
Bred by Ballylinch Stud, he is out of the Sadler’s Wells mare Kiltubber and races in the colours of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum.
Dubawi, whose best runners in 2011 include Grade One winner Dubawi Heights, G1 Deutsches Derby winner Waldpark and the tough 2,000 Guineas runner-up and Celebration Mile winner Dubawi Gold, is now the sire of 19 individual Group winners.
