Manduro’s four-year-old son Time To Choose has been a superb campaigner for his sire and on Sunday, 29 October, he added a fourth Black Type win and a second at Group level when taking the G3 Premio Ribot.
Making all under jockey Fabio Branca, Time To Choose led throughout the one-mile contest and held on well close to home to win by a short head from Royal Julius (by late Darley stallion Royal Applause).
Time To Choose won his first Stakes contest last year, landing the Listed Premio UNIRE. He opened his account his year with victory in the Premio Circo Massimo, before successfully stepping up to Group level in the G2 Premio Presidente della Repubblica in May. He also finished this in the G2 Premio Vittorio di Capua just over a month ago. Bred by Razza del Velino,
Time To Choose is out of the Stakes-placed Orpen mare Penfection, dam of fellow Black Type winner Baby Revolution.
Manduro is sire of six G1 winners to date, including Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere hero Ultra, who will stand alongside his sire at Haras du Logis next year. They will both stand for a fee of €7,000 Oct 1 SLF.
