First juvenile race of the season in France falls to daughter of Country Reel.

Dont Teutch, from the third crop of Country Reel, ran clean away with the Prix de la Marche, the first juvenile race of the new season at Saint-Cloud on March 17. The three-length winner of the 20-runner race was subsequently claimed for 51,000€, having picked up 20,947€ in prizemoney and primes for her owner-breeders Mrs Becquart and Mr Schlienger. She is the first foal of the Panis mare Simonkikou, who herself was a dual juvenile winner.

Country Reel, who stands this season at Haras du Logis for 4,000€, is making a name for himself as an excellent sire of juvenile talent, with his 40 runners at that age either winning or placing.
