Farhh, brilliant winner of the G1 Lockinge and G1 Champions Stakes, recorded his first winner with just his second runner on 6 June with a convincing victory at Rome for his son Fa Ul Sciur.
Sent off as odds-on favourite to make a winning racecourse debut, the Stefano Botti-trained colt took the seven-furlong contest by a length from the more experienced Isole Canarie.
Fa Ul Sciur was bred by Azienda Agricola Francesca SRL and is out of the Group-winning Dubai Destination mare Rosa del Dubai, making him a half-brother to two Stakes winners including this year’s G2 Oaks d’Italia winner Folega. Rosa del Dubai is dam of a further Black type performer in Premio Ubaldo second Facia de Tola (New Approach).
Farhh himself won on his only start at two, winning a seven-furlong maiden at Newmarket by no fewer than six lengths. He then progressed through the ranks, finishing second in the G1 Juddmonte International, G1 Eclipse, G1 Sussex Stakes and G1 Prix du Moulin before rounding off his racing career with victories in the G1 Lockinge Stakes (which he won by four lengths) and the G1 Champions Stakes.
