The diminutive Percolator notched her fourth successive and most important victory on Sunday in the G3 Prix du Bois at Maisons-Laffitte.
Quickly away under Christophe Soumillon, the Paul Cole-trained filly was never headed and ran out an impressive three-length winner. Already having the distinction of being her sire Kheleyf's first ever winner, as well as his first Stakes winner, she now becomes his first Pattern winner.
Bred by Henry Robinson, Percolator is out of the winning Common Grounds mare Coffee Cream, who has already produced a Darley-sired winner in Mocha Java (Bertolini) and she is currently in foal to Byron. She is from the family of smart juvenile and 2,000 Guineas second Even Top.
It has been a tremendous last few weeks for Kheleyf and he now tops the freshman sires table in Britain and Ireland with eleven individual winners.
Also on Sunday, Red Ransom sired his first juvenile Stakes winner of the season when Ransom Shift won the Listed Premio de Montel over 1500m at Milan. An easy winner on debut at the same track less than a fortnight ago he came home victorious by three-quarters of alength.
Bred by Scuderia Blueberry S R L, he is the first foal out of Listed scorer Rose Shift, a half-sister to dual G2 winner Whilly. Her next foal has already been named Fantastic Shift and is by Darley Japan stallion Fantastic Light.
