Lemista, a three-year-old filly by Raven’s Pass, landed her first Group race on Monday, 23 March when taking the G3 Park Express Stakes. Making her seasonal debut, the Ger Lyons-trained filly handled the heavy ground well to record a three-quarters-of-a-length victory.
She has now won half of her four starts after finishing 2019 with a four-and-a-quarter length victory at Gowran Park in October.
Bred by Drumlin Bloodstock, Lemista is a daughter of the Arcano mare Shortmile Lady, a half-sister to Stakes winner Indian Maiden who hails from the family of Raven’s Pass’s Stakes winner Lake Volta.
Raven’s Pass becomes the only stallion to sire two Stakes-winning three-year-olds in Europe this year after Pisanello impressed when landing the Listed Prix Omnium II at Saint-Cloud earlier this month. Raven’s Pass is covering this season at a fee of €10,000 Oct 1 SLF.
