Two-year-old colt Black Arrow, by Teofilo, was victorious at his first time out as a favorite on a maiden at Hannover on Sunday, August 21. It was the second winner for his sire in the weekend following yesterday’s triumph of the filly Cleofila in Ireland. The Andreas Wohler-trained colt defeated another 10 competitors over the mile on turf.
Black Arrow is out of the Listed-placed Diesis mare Fann, was bred in Ireland by Rabbah Bloodstock and is owned by Stall 24. The broodmare had a full-brother to the winner in 2010, a filly by Darley stallion Cape Cross in 2011 and is in foal to another Darley stallion, Epsom Derby winner New Approach.
Teofilo has now nine winners including the Group 3 winner Remember Alexander, the Listed winner Teolane and yesterday’s Group 2 placed Parish Hall.
