Fantastic Fontanelice remains unbeaten
Two-year-old filly Fontanelice has been a magnificent flagbearer for her first-season sire Vale Of York and on 19 October, she extended her unbeaten run to five races and took her tally of Stakes wins to four when landing the G3 Premio Dormello in Milan.
Landing the one-mile contest by a length and a quarter, she was also recording her second win at Group level, having taken the Premio Primi Passi on her last start.
Bred by John Martin McLoughney, Fontanelice is the second winner from two foals to race out of the Choisir mare Choose Me Please, who is from the family of Japanese Champion and sire Bubble Gum Fellow.
Vale Of York has made a very promising start to his stud career, with 13 winners to date. He was himself an outstanding two-year-old who flew to victory in the G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile.
