Donjah, a lightly-raced three-year-old daughter of Teofilo, landed her second Group contest on Sunday, 20 October with an easy victory in the G2 Gran Premio del Jockey Club. Cruising to the front two furlongs from home, she wasn’t hard pressed to record a four-and-a-half length victory.
An unbeaten juvenile when winning the G3 Herzog von Ratibor-Rennen, she didn’t make her seasonal debut until August this year and came into the race on the back of two excellent G1 placings in her native Germany.
Bred by Gestut Karlshof, she is out of the Stakes-performer mare Dyanamore and from the extended family of German G1 winner Earl Of Tinsdal.
Donjah is one of 25 Stakes performers sired by Teofilo in 2019. His highlight is Hong Kong star Exultant, with Cross Counter, Twilight Payment, Happy Clapper and Flight Risk all winning Group races.
