Exceed And Excel gelding Hill of Gold claimed his first Stakes win in the Listed Great Easter Handicap at Riccarton Park, New Zealand on 4 May.

Ridden to perfection by jockey Leith Innes, Hill of Gold raced on the speed throughout and maintained a sustained run to the line winning by a half-head for his sixth career victory. Hill of Gold (ex Queen of the Blues) becomes the 47th Black type winner for his sire and was bred by Mrs. SA Anderson and the Karina Breeding Partnership.
