Teofilo took his winners total to eleven on Friday September 9, when his son Blu Petraeus broke his Maiden in Milan over 1700m. Making his second career start, he won by three-quarters-of-a-length with seven lengths back to the third.
Bred by Azienda Agricola Loreto Luciani, Blu Petraeus is out of the Indian Ridge mare Fafinta, who has already produced the Stakes winner Fiulin.
A top-class two-year-old himself when remaining unbeaten in a five-race season, Teofilo is also the sire of Group Three winner Remember Alexander and Listed scorer Teolane, plus the Group Two-placed Parish Hall. He also has a pair of unbeaten juveniles through impressive Irish and German debut scorers Cleofila and Black Arrow.
