Dubday lands his first Group victory
Dubawi's consistent son Dubday landed his first stakes race outside of Qatar on Friday 31 July when taking the G3 Glorious Stakes run over a mile and a half at Goodwood. A very consistent colt who has now won eight of his 16 starts, he came here on the back of a series of good seconds in stakes races at Newmarket and Newbury, with today's three-quarters-of-a-length triumph taking his career earnings over £950,000.
Bred by Southcourt Stud, Dubday is a son of the multiple-winning Daylami mare Dayrose, who is herself a half-sister to Stakes winner Rambling Rose, who went onto produce the multiple G1-winner Notnowcato.
Dubday becomes Dubawi's world leading 20th Group winner of 2015, with his nine top-flight scorers including King George hero Postponed, Dubai World Cup winner Prince Bishop, the evergreen Al Kazeem, top mile Night Of Thunder, and a pair of top-class French three-year-olds New Bay and Erupt.
