Another Stakes winner for Dubawi was added to his ever-rising tally when his three-year-old son Sovereign Prince kept on enthusiastically to triumph in the Listed Jumeriah Classic at Meydan on Friday, 4 February.
After an easy win three weeks ago in the Jumeriah Classic Trial at Meydan, the step up to Black Type company proved no issue for Sovereign Prince as he ran on eagerly for jockey James Doyle in the final furlong holding off previous Stakes winner Mr Professor (Profitable) to the line.
Bred by Godolphin, Sovereign Prince is out of the G2-winning mare Gamilati.
Dubawi added his second Stakes winner on the night as his four-year-old daughter Creative Flair flew home in the G2 Balanchine in the hands of William Buick.
The progressive filly has had two close placings at G3 level and a win in a Listed race in June last year.
Bred by Godolphin, Creative Flair is out of the G2-Placed mare Hidden Gold, a daughter of the late Shamardal, herself a half-sister to G2 winner Masterstroke, G3 winner Royal Line (Dubawi) and dual G3 winner Moonlight Magic.
Dubawi is the sire of an impressive 144 Group winners and concluded 2021 with a world-leading 38 Stakes winners, matching his previous career best in 2019. A highlight of 2021 for Dubawi was siring three G1 Breeders’ Cup winners in the same year, led by new Darley stallion Space Blues.
