A beautifully-bred son of Dubawi proved the sales topper so far at Arqana's yearling sale when selling for €1,550,000 on Sunday night in Deauville.
The colt, offered by Haras de la Perelle, is out of the G1 Falmouth Stakes heroine Giofra and was understandably much in demand when he graced the sales ring during the second session of Arqana's premier yearling sale. Kerri Radcliffe had the final say at €1.55m, with Angus Gold the underbidder on behalf of Shadwell.
Earlier in the session, another Dubawi colt was snapped up by Koichiro Yamaguchi for €400,000. Consigned by Newsells Park Stud, the colt is out of the G3 Prix Allez France winner Daksha, from the family of top performers Samitar and Alice Springs.
