Dubawi’s spectacular season continued on Friday, 24 September when he sired the first three home in the Listed Rosemary Stakes at Newmarket. Leading all the way in the one-mile contest, his three-year-old daughter Soft Whisper prevailed by a length-and-three-quarters over Maamora and Fooraat.
Making her first start since Dubai in March, Soft Whisper has now won five of her nine starts including a seven-length triumph in the Listed UAE 1,000 Guineas.
From the extended family of Champions Persian King and Peintre Celebre, Soft Whisper is the first winner bred by the winning Sea The Stars mare Placidia, who is a half-sister to three Group winners including Policy Maker. Placidia also has a filly foal by Night Of Thunder and is back in foal to the same stallion this year.
Dubawi has sired a world leading 29 individual Stakes winners in 2021. They include 18 Group winners including Lord North, Albahr, D’Bai, Glorious Journey, Yibir, Kemari, Space Blues and Master Of The Seas.
