Fast Company’s useful sprinter Downforce added another Black Type victory to his record on Saturday, 7 April when landing the Listed Cork Stakes.
Soon in front, Downforce dictated the pace throughout the five-and-a-half-furlong contest and ran on superbly to win by a length and a quarter. This was his second consecutive win in the race, which was run at Navan this year.
Downforce was also placed in the Listed Garrowby Stakes at York last year, where he was beaten just a nose, before finishing second in the G3 Concorde Stakes in October.
Downforce was bred by P Burns and is out of the multiple winner Spinning Ruby (Pivotal), who is from the family of French Group winner and G1 performer Barbola.
Fast Company is also sire of G1 Classic winner Jet Setting, plus Champion South American colt Robert Bruce, who won an astounding four G1 contests last year.
Fast Company stands at Kildangan Stud at a fee of €9,000, Oct 1, SLF.
