Darley in Europe launches online auctions of nominations via their website

The first auction begins on Wednesday 11th December, where one nomination to each of Exceed And Excel, Farhh, Iffraaj, New Approach (pictured), Reckless Abandon and Teofilo will be sold via the Darley website. The second auction of the same will commence a week later on Wednesday 18th December. The nominations will have no reserve and will be sold with Darley’s standard October 1st Special Live Foal terms.

Sam Bullard, Darley’s Director of Stallions said, “We are thrilled to extend our online auctions of nominations initiative to Europe. The idea was very well received by our clients in both America and Australia where we held online auctions earlier this year.”

“The beauty of these online auctions is that they give breeders another opportunity to buy nominations to these popular stallions. It’s guaranteed access at a price determined by them.”

Bullard continued, “If any of our clients have already signed a 2014 contract for one of these stallions, it is important they still participate. If they are the successful bidders in the online auction on a stallion to which they already hold a 2014 contract, we will amend their contract should they be fortunate enough to buy it in the auction for a lower price.”

Auction dates: One nomination to each stallion will be offered each week, for two consecutive weeks.

Wednesday 11 December – Friday 13 December

Wednesday 18 December – Friday 20 December

Each auction will commence at 9am GMT and conclude at 4pm GMT.
