Dar Re Mi, the progressive three-year-old daughter of Singspiel, added a Group Three win to her blossoming repertoire on Thursday with victory in the Prix Minerve-Shadwell at Deauville over a mile and a half.
Homebred at Lord Andrew Lloyd-Webber's Watership Down Stud, Dar Re Mi is out of the Top Ville Mare Darara and is a half-sister to G1 winner Diaghilev (re-named River Dancer in Hong Kong) and G2 winner Darazari, who are both by her great-grandsire Sadler's Wells.
The John Gosden-trained filly has now won three of her six starts, the most recent prior to her French success coming on home turf in the Listed Aphrodite Stakes at Newmarket where she was chased home by her paternal half-sister Folk Opera. She has been in the frame on all her other racecourse appearances, including when third to Treat Gently, by Cape Cross, in the G2 Prix de Malleret.
Singspiel is the sire of 17 black-type performers this year, including Daressalam, Vinea Federspiel, Gower Song and Mulaqat.
