Cracksman sired a new winner on Sunday, 13 November when his juvenile daughter Weracruz made a perfect start to her career with victory over 1700m at Krefeld, Germany.
The Peter Schiergen-trained filly made light work on her debut and under a hands and heels ride from jockey Bauyrzhan Murzabayev, she made her run on the outside with 400m to run and quickly went clear of the field easing down in the closing stages to record a comfortable four-and-a-half length win.
Owned and bred by Gestüt Ebbesloh, Weracruz is out the Group-placed Lando mare, Winnemark.
A dual European Champion, Cracksman has sired 14 individual winners, including G2 heroine Aloa who landed the G2 Premio Dormello in Italy and Listed winner Dance In The Grass, who holds an entry for next year’s Irish 1,000 Guineas. He has also sired Listed-placed filly Crackovia, three-time Italian winner Petra and highly-rated winners Ndaawi and Madly Truly, who also holds an entry for next year’s Irish 1,000 Guineas.
Cracksman stands at Dalham Hall Stud at a fee of £17,500, October 1, SLF.
