Connections embrace after Kisses' third stakes win
Iffraaj mare Kisses provided her connections with her third Stakes win with a late burst to win the G3 Rich Hill Stud Taranaki Stakes (1400m) at Hawera, New Zealand, on October 10.
The Mark Fraser-Campin and Chris Campin-trained six-year-old mare camped midfield with the run of the race and burst away when the gap opened in the straight, defeating race favourite Recite.
It was her sixth win from 26 starts, to go with her eight placings.
The consistent Kisses also won the 2014 Listed Easter Cup (1600m) in April last year and the New Zealand Bloodstock Airfreight Stakes (1600m) in 2013 as a three-year-old
Kisses was bred by Chequers NZ Ltd and is out of Marscay mare La Marmalade. She is the mare’s sole stakes winner.
Iffraaj has sired 28 individual black type performers so far this year, including G2 winners Ribchester and Serena Miss, plus Magic Artist, Latharnach and Sardaaj.
