Fulham Broadway recorded the most facile of victories in a five-furlong maiden at Wolverhampton to become the 21st winner in Europe for Exceed And Excel.
Sent off hot favourite, the chestnut colt, who was always travelling easily, was sent to the front with a furlong to run and strode swiftly clear of his rivals to win eased down. This was only his second start, having finished third on his debut at Bath in September.
Out of Lomalou, by Lightning Dealer, Fulham Broadway was bred by Brian Killeen and races for Trevor Srewart, who enjoyed notable success on the racecourse with top sprinter Cassandra Go, the dam of this year's Irish 1000 Guineas and Nassau winner Halfway To Heaven.
Exceed And Excel has enjoyed a tremendous start to this stud career. He has already been named Champion first-season sire in Australia and his European winners include the G2 Lowther Stakes heroine Infamous Angel.
