Brazen Beau continued to make his presence felt among this year’s juvenile crop on Monday, 24 June when his son Dazzling Des ran out the ready winner of the five-furlong Novice at Wolverhampton.
Settled just behind the early pace under the in-form Danny Tudhope, the David O’Meara-trained colt was ridden along to take the lead close to home and win by a neck.
Dazzling Des was bred by Mrs A T McMillan and is out of the two-year-old winner Secret Liaison (Dandy Man), whose own dam is a full sister to Group winner Raphane. They are from the family of G1 winner Caline.
Brazen Beau is also responsible for last week’s G2 Norfolk Stakes third Dubai Station, who has won or placed in all of his starts so far. He also has a European Black Type winner on the board in the form of Avengers Queen.
