Darley’s shuttle stallions have returned safely to the UK and are now available for breeders to view ahead of the upcoming breeding season.
Heading up the returning travellers is the world-class Derby winner Authorized (pictured), whose acclaimed first foals were a resounding success at the sales – averaging almost £80,000 and selling for up to £178,500, £141,750, £136,500 and £120,750.
Dubawi is also now back at Dalham Hall Stud, having enjoyed an outstanding year with his first crop of European runners with G2 winners Poet’s Voice and Sand Vixen heading up his impressive haul of 34 individual winners. His most recent Group success however, came in the form of Cellarmaster, who landed the G3 Eclipse Stakes in New Zealand on New Year’s Day to take his number of Black type victories to two.
Also returning is Exceed And Excel, whose oldest European crop are now four. He sired no fewer than 16 Black type performers in the northern hemisphere in 2009, with Reward For Effort becoming his first winner at G1 level when landing the Blue Diamond Stakes in Australia in the same year.
Record-breaking five-time G1 winner New Approach, whose first foals are due to arrive this year, completes the quartet of returning stallions.
