Behkabad, a three-year-old son of Cape Cross, notched his fourth career win and second victory at G3 level on 10 May, winning the Prix de Guiche at Chantilly.
Setting the pace under Christophe Lemaire, Behkabad was asked to quicken two furlongs from home and despite a strong challenge from No Risk At All, he took the nine-furlong contest by a neck.
Owned and bred by HH The Aga Khan, Behkabad is out of the G2-winning, G1-placed Kris mare Behkara and has now won four times in just five starts. He is now likely to be aimed at next month's G1 Prix du Jockey Club.
Cape Cross has sired nine Stakes performers this year, including G1 winner Able One who took the valuable Champion’s Mile for the second time at Sha Tin last month. Able One is one of ten G1 winners for the Darley stallions so far in 2010.
