Following a Group double at the weekend headed by Classic-bound colt Too Darn Hot, Dubawi’s progeny continued their winning ways on Wednesday, 5 September when three-year-old filly Poetic Charm landed the Listed Prix de la Cochere at Longchamp.
Settled in second under William Buick, Charlie Appleby’s charge laid down her challenge once entering the straight and wore down the long-time leader Agrotera to win by a short head.
This was the fourth career victory for Poetic Charm, who won twice during her two-year-old campaign. She was victorious at Newmarket during July week and was second in the G3 Prix de Lieurey on her last start.
Poetic Charm is out of Speirbhean, making her a half-sister to fellow Darley stallion Teofilo. She is also a full sister to Group-winning filly Bean Feasa.
Both Dubawi and Teofilo have been enjoying a tremendously successful spell of late, siring an astounding 19 Black Type winners between them since Wednesday, 1 August.
