Golden Horn has a very promising filly to look forward to for the remainder of this year, in the form of Ad Infinitum, impressive winner of the Listed Height Of Fashion Stakes at Goodwood on Friday, 21 May.
Slightly missing the break, the three-year-old filly was settled towards the rear of the field under Jamie Spencer. Patiently ridden, David Simcock’s charge picked off her rivals one by one once entering the home straight and despite the blustery conditions, kept to her task superbly to win the 10-furlong contest by a length.
Ad Infinitum had one run at two, finishing a close fourth to potential Derby contender Gloucestershire at Kempton. A further step up in class is now likely, and she holds an entry in the G2 Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Bred by Norman Court Stud, Ad Infinitum is out of the Stakes-placed Hawk Wing mare Madame Hoi, also dam of G2 winner Nancy From Nairobi. They are from the extended family of multiple G1 winner and sire Fascinating Rock.
Golden Horn is now sire of 14 Black Type performers, including G1-placed colt Botanik and Group winner West End Girl. Ad Infinitum becomes his 30th individual winner of 2021.
Golden Horn stands at Dalham Hall Stud at a fee of £20,000, Oct 1, SLF.
