Dubawi’s son Gm Hopkins made it back-to-back victories in the G3 Abu Dhabi Championship on Saturday, 14 March when defeating his paternal half-brother Seniority. Run over 2200m on turf, the winner had to pushed out to the line to record a half-length victory.
Bred by Cadran-Earl Blot-Scea des Bissons, the evergreen nine-year-old is out of the Lomitas mare Varsity and from the family of 2,000 Guineas winner Mark Of Esteem.
Dubawi has now sired six Group winners in 2020, more than any other European-standing stallions. They are headed by Benbatl, Ghaiyyath and Glorious Journey, all of whom will be heading for G1’s on Dubai World Cup night.
