Triple Time, the impeccably bred winner of this year’s Queen Anne at Royal Ascot, has been retired from racing and will stand at Dalham Hall Stud from 2024.
The son of Frankel broke his maiden by a staggering nine and a half lengths at two, before successfully stepping up in class in the Ascendant Stakes, which he won in record time and faster than Pyledriver, Havana Gold, Naval Power and Al Musmak in the same contest.
A setback meant Triple Time was unable to contest the Classics, but he returned in September in style with an easy victory in the G3 Superior Mile at Haydock.
Triple Time’s finest performance yet came on his four-year-old debut, as he took on Europe’s elite milers in the annual curtain raiser at Royal Ascot - the G1 Queen Anne.
Storming down Ascot’s straight mile, Triple Time showed a scintillating turn of foot in the closing stages to outbattle brilliant racemare Inspiral, with fellow G1 winners Modern Games, Native Trail and Angel Bleu also behind him that day.
Triple Times retires as the highest-rated son of Frankel (Timeform 124) over a mile in Europe, ahead of fellow G1 winners Chaldean and Without Parole.
He is the best from a truly elite family, being one of a remarkable six Black Type winners out of the blue hen Reem Three (Mark Of Esteem). He is a half-brother to Champion mare and G1 winner Ajman Princess (Teofilo), plus the dam of Blue Point’s record-breaking G1 winner Rosallion.
