As we are all only too aware, there are many variables that can determine how good a racehorse is. How they are reared through the foal and yearling stages, and of course how they are trained and campaigned through their racing career. These factors we can influence, but the one thing that cannot be changed in any horse is its pedigree. The bloodline is the roadmap for everything that follows and there are few stallions that have a better one than Triple Time.
By Frankel, widely considered to be the best racehorse ever to set foot on turf and fast becoming one the world's finest stallions, Triple Time was one of his finest. But his female family could well provide even more opportunity for him to succeed at stud. His dam, Reem Three has firmly established herself as a true 'blue hen', having produced no fewer than six Black Type winners and a further G1 performer. The daughter of Mark Of Esteem, herself a half-sister to G2 Celebration Mile winner and G1 Arlington Million Stakes second Afsare (Dubawi), is dam of G1 Prix Jean Romanet heroine Ajman Princess (pictured below), G2 winner Ostillio, G3-winning duo Third Realm and Cape Byron, plus Stakes winner Captain Winters and G1-placed Imperial Charm. Quite some list!
Reem Three is one of an elite Group of mares, as you can see from the table below. She is one of only five modern-day mares (whose offspring have raced since 2000) who have produced seven or more runners to achieve a Timeform rating of 110 or higher. The others have all gone on to have G1-winning sire sons, including some of the most recognisable names in the studbook!

The story doesn't end there... Reem Three is also the dam of the unraced Rosaline (New Approach) who from just her third foal produced Blue Point's brilliant juvenile Rosallion (Blue Point), record-breaking winner of the G1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere (pictured below) and surely one of the most exciting three-year-old prospects for 2024. Not only is it an outstanding family, it is an active one too.
Triple Time isn’t just bred in the purple, he was a very talented racehorse too. As a juvenile he won twice from four starts including the Listed Ascendant Stakes. His trainer Kevin Ryan was readying the horse for a tilt at the 2,000 Guineas, until setback saw him sidelined until the September of his three-year-old season. He made a remarkable return after 364 days away from the track to easily win the G3 Superior Mile.
At four, he made his seasonal bow in the G1 Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot. The race was widely described as being one of the most competitive renewals in recent years, with previous G1 winners Inspiral, Modern Games, Angel Bleu and Native Trail lining up, with a further six Group winners also in the mix. In a brilliant display of speed and toughness, Triple Time out battled them all. Unsuitable ground in the G1 Prix Jaques le Marois saw him finish fifth in his final start, but still ahead of high-class trio Good Guess, Hi Royal and Erevann.
