Sky Majesty, a juvenile daughter of Blue Point, remained unbeaten on Saturday, 21 September when winning the G3 Firth Of Clyde Stakes. Going into the race on the back of a narrow debut win at Newbury, she again had to dig deep in Ayr’s six-furlong contest to record a neck victory.
Bred by Mountarmstrong Stud and a 150,000gns Book 2 yearling, Sky Majesty is from the very speedy family of Majestic Missile. Her dam, the Listed-placed Majestic Alexander, has now produced five Stakes performers at sprint trips including this season’s Beverley Bullet winner Democracy Dilemma.
Blue Point has now sired 11 Stakes winners from his European crops with G1 winners Rosallion and Big Evs the highlights from his first crop. His second crop of juveniles are equally as promising and now includes three Stakes winners plus several lightly raced impressive unbeaten winners including Mac An Luin in Japan, Magical Trail in the UK, Revoke in Ireland, and Blue Island, a three-and-a-half length winner earlier in the day in France.
