New Stakes winner for Raven's Pass

Redbrook takes the Listed Prix du Pont-Neuf at Longchamp

Raven's Pass' progressive three-year-old son Redbrook took the step up in class in his stride on Thursday May 8 when landing the Listed Prix du Pont-Neuf over 1400m at Longchamp. A lightly-raced colt who raced twice as a juvenile, this was his second win in as many starts this season. He currently holds an entry in the G1 St James's Palace Stakes over a mile at Royal Ascot.

Bred by S F Bloodstock and sold to current connections for €230,000 at Arqana's May Breeze Up sale (making him Raven's Pass' highest priced Breeze Up sale of the year), Redbrook is out of the Group-placed mare Nawal and a half-brother to Mast Track, who broke the track record when winning the G1 Hollywood Gold Cup.

Raven's Pass, who stands this season as a fee of €25,000, is proving to be equally adept at both producing both top quality runners and top quality sales stock. His best on the track to date include record-breaking juvenile G2-winner Steeler and Group runners Secret Number, Mutashaded and Lovely Pass. Last year he also had six yearlings that sold for more than €300,000, with a top price of 525,000Gns for a colt named Ya Hade Ye Delil, out of Palatial, who is in training with Richard Hannon for Al Shaqab Racing.
