New Stakes winner for Raven's Pass

Alta Stima takes the Prix Solitude at Saint-Cloud

Alta Stima, a three-year-old daughter of Raven's Pass, won her first Stakes race on Saturday Novermber 9 when taking the Listed Prix Solitude over 2000m at Saint-Cloud. Making all the running, she ran on well to win by a neck with a further three lengths back to the third.

Owned and bred by Frederic Bianco, Alta Stima is out of the Rainbow Quest mare En Public and is a half-sister to four Stakes winners including G1 colt Sardaukar and Shamardal's French Stakes winner Rostrum.

Standing this forthcoming season at a fee of €25,000 (Oct 1, SLF) at Kildangan Stud, Raven's Pass retired to stud as Europe's Champion three-year-old miler. From his first crop he has sired seven Group performers including Steeler, a record-breaking G2 juvenile winner; UAE 1,000 Guineas winner Lovely Pass; and progressive G3 Cumberland Lodge hero Secret Number.

Raven's Pass has also enjoyed a successful sales season, with his top lot selling for over €650,000 with an average of €135,000.
